SafeMentor doesn't just answer randomly. Every message from your child is checked for safety relevance in real time, before a response appears. We call this our 3-stage safety.
Stage 1 – Normal tutoring
SafeMentor responds warmly, age-appropriately and with pedagogical care. No intervention, no notification. Your child is accompanied. You don't need to do anything.
Stage 2 – Quiet Signal
For topics like bullying, emotional pressure or concerning requests, SafeMentor recognises the signal. The AI responds empathetically and encourages your child to talk to you. You receive a discreet note in your parent dashboard. Not an alarm, but a sign: this is worth a conversation.
Stage 3 – Immediate Notification
For serious warning signs: self-harm, sexual assault, acute danger. SafeMentor switches immediately. The child receives a calm, structured response with concrete crisis resources. You are notified promptly with a clear summary. So you are there when your child needs you.

Trust is the foundation of every child's development. For this reason, privacy is not just a feature, but the foundation of Safementor. No digital footprints are created here. As soon as a session ends, all raw chat data is irrevocably deleted. We only keep summaries for a period of 7 to a maximum of 30 days. What remains is what really matters to you as parents: We notify you the moment your attention is needed. Whether bullying, self-harm or other critical topics: we keep you informed so you can be there for your child exactly when it matters most.

SafeMentor is not a 'Yes-Bot', but a true partner. Conventional AIs tend towards so-called Sycophancy: they parrot the user and always agree, just to seem 'helpful'. We break this pattern and have developed a mentor that doesn't just agree, but gently challenges. It recognizes when a child is looking for a shortcut and instead encourages critical thinking. We consciously avoid reward systems, “streaks” (pressure through daily usage chains), or artificial incentives that glue children to the screen. Our goal is for your child to use SafeMentor to better understand the real world. And then put the device away with a good feeling to apply what they've learned in real life.
